Creating a WordPress site – How to make even complicated integrations work Part 2

Some time ago, we used a case study to show how more complex integrations can be achieved by integrating an applicant portal on a WordPress site. Create integration of a newsletter registration on a WordPress page

One of our customers wanted to integrate a newsletter on their WordPress website. Our solution for this was to establish a connection between the customer website and the e-mail marketing platform used by the customer.

An individual landing page with a fully functional registration form was implemented.

Website programming of an independent database

The same client maintains a separate database for the profiles of its lawyers. Now he wanted to program a search function on his website that would allow users to filter their search for lawyer profiles.

The proposed solution consists of 2 phases. The first phase is the transfer and comparison of the lawyer profiles from the client database to the client website. The second phase comprises the processing of the lawyer profiles within a search with filter function.

For phase 1, our solution was to create a cron job that automatically transfers, synchronizes and updates the data records. This data is then integrated into a custom post type on the customer side.

For phase 2, a search was created in which the filter function accesses the custom post types and only displays the lawyer profiles that match the set filters.
